My Neighbor CHUBU
Even though I am on a low sodium diet, I loved working with the talented and kind crew at The Boston Bacon Truck (in Boston naturally)! It was also so cool to see how well Ardon Vinyl applied the wrap. If you are in Boston, please stop by and say hello to the Bacon Truck! You can also view a few more angles and more bacon friends HERE.

PSFK asked me to paint images of home on the walls of their "Future Of Home Living" space. It was such a fun project. If you are in NYC you can reserve a tour of the space and see the cool gadgets we all NEED in our future homes. The exhibit runs until 8/16. You can see more of the project HERE.
A Dodgers SUMMER! Los Angeles Magazine for the great assignment illustrating Vin Scully's "Ode to Summer". We tried to fit in as many "summer clouds" as we could. While the Dodgers left Brooklyn long ago, they are one of my favorite teams to watch. I was even on the Dodger screen once for 2 seconds while catching a game in LA. Summer, Baseball and Los Angeles... pretty fun!
"Cats and Dogs" for Tufts!
Guggenheim Gutai Splendid Playground!
USA Today plays ball !
write up. So cool to be included with my illustrator heroes Matt Tavares and John Martz! Let's start an illustrator softball team!
ARIGATO New York Times! This exceptional book marries the two traditions with charming naïf illustration and clear text. On opposing pages, a boy explains the differences between outings with his American pop pop to the stadium and with his Japanese ji ji at the dome. The book’s deceptive simplicity includes sophisticated cultural touches: America’s paper tickets offer a charming contrast to the Japanese scannable QR code version. Meshon’s first picture book is a definite home run. (Kakiiin!)
Take me out to the YAKYU "Take me out to the YAKYU" , my first children's book is up to bat! It's a personal story about my love for Baseball in Japan and America with the occasional snack, bath, and bus that turns into a train thrown in. You can pick up a copy from Amazon or at your favorite local bookstore. PLAY BALL!

Chalk is Fun!
I was happy to escape the heat for a few hours and draw the new menu for One Girl Cookies in Dumbo, Brooklyn. It was fun using chalk as a new medium and hope to try it again...but writing all these refreshing drinks really made me thirsty. I'll have the iced latte please!

I'll be speaking again this year at the Nuts and Bolts Conference run by the amazing 3x3 Magazine. I'll hopefully not destroy anyones' view on the fun and exciting world of licensing and illustration. It's an honor to be included with such a talented panel featuring: Marcos Chin, Paul Hoppe, Joe Kauffman, Matt Rotas, Martin Wittfooth and more! Hope to see you there!
I've been to Iceland 3 times, and each time I love it more and more. Where else are there giant pools of heated silica infused saltwater and hot dog stands at every corner? Thanks for inspiring me Iceland. Hope to see you soon!
Mural for One Girl Cookies
I loved working on this Mural Project for the amazing Bakery and Cafe One Girl Cookies in Dumbo, Brooklyn. Not only was I allowed to use some of their priceless family photos in the design but I also had my fill of whoopee pies. Thanks One Girl Cookies! YUM!
Why I subscribe to 3x3 Magazine: 3x3 magazine does. I was honored to make a " self portrait" for one of their ad campaigns asking " Why I subscribe to 3x3 Magazine." I tried to make my double chins as realistic as possible. It was a personal piece for me, as I wanted to show how much I admire others in our field and also combine that with my せごいsummer memory of brave children jumping from a bridge into the cool river below in Gujo Hachiman, Japan. Thanks 3x3! Thanks Gujo Hachiman!
